With 4511A, Tektronix color printers become network resources,alleviating the need to dedicate the printer to a specific workstation orserver.4511A supports twisted-pair, thin- or thick-wire Ethernet, can be placedanywhere on the network, offers faster throughput than a serial orparallel connection, has its own Ethernet address, is compatible withmixed workstation environments, and requires no host-based software.4511A is compatible with any system running UNIX 4.3 BSD or AT&T's UNIXSystem V with lpr spooling extensions (including SunOS 4.X and 5.0).4511A is compatible with the following Tektronix color printers: PhaserIII PXi, Phaser 200i, Phaser 200e, Phaser 11SDX, Phaser II DX, andothers.
